Evaluation of research activities

The year 2022 marked a turning point in the university’s academic development. Following a nationwide evaluation of academic activity, all assessed disciplines were awarded B category B+B , as granted by the Minister of Education and Science. This confirms the high quality of the research conducted, the publications produced, and the academic staff’s scholarly output at a national level. The categories awarded paved the way for the next stage of development – the university was granted the right to award doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in selected disciplines. This is one of the most important indicators of an institution’s academic maturity, confirming its ability to conduct independent research, train academic staff and offer a full academic career path.

Pioneers of the Pharmacy programme at a private university

The year 2022 also brought a significant expansion of the academic offering. The university – as the first private higher education institution in Poland – obtained the authorisation to offer a degree programme in pharmacy, thereby joining the ranks of institutions providing education in one of the most demanding fields of medical science. This was a clear sign of the development of laboratory infrastructure, specialist staff and research potential.

A prestigious recommendation for the psychology degree programme

In addition, the Psychology programme received a recommendation from the Committee on Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which constitutes an important recognition by the academic community of the quality of the curriculum and the research output in this discipline.

The year 2022 was therefore the moment when the institution attained full academic rights – both in formal terms and in terms of its actual academic potential – laying the foundations for further development, which in subsequent years led to it being granted university status.
