We are joining the Erasmus+ Programme

The year 2013 marked a turning point in the university’s internationalisation, when, as the University of Finance and Management in Warsaw, it was awarded the Erasmus+ University Charter – a document granted by the European Commission enabling participation in one of the world’s most important educational programmes. The Erasmus+ Charter opened the university up to student and staff mobility and created a framework for developing lasting academic partnerships.

Thanks to participation in the programme, our students were able to begin spending part of their studies or professional placements at partner universities across Europe, gaining academic, linguistic and cultural experience. Teaching and research staff gained opportunities to deliver lectures, run training courses and engage in research collaboration with international partners. After joining the Erasmus+ programme, the university actively participated in subsequent funding rounds (Erasmus+ 2014–2020 and the new programming period 2021–2027).

The development of mobility and internationalisation

The partnerships established by the University of Finance and Management, along with subsequent bilateral agreements with other academic institutions, were gradually expanded in the years that followed, enabling an increasing number of students and staff to undertake long-term stays, participate in joint teaching and research projects, and build academic networks across Europe.
The Erasmus+ programme has become one of the key tools for the internationalisation of the university, contributing to the development of a broad network of partners, the exchange of good practices, and the enhancement of students’ and staff members’ competences within the global academic environment.
